Mary Jo is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult Primary Care, with a Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. MaryJo recently served as a practitioner with Atlantic Integrative Medical Associates at The Chambers Center for Well Being. Her passion is helping each patient discover their individual path to better health and wellness. She understands the challenges that the conventional disease- management system faces and works to treat the root cause of the disease – not just the symptoms. Her ongoing study of Functional Medicine shapes her approach to treating patients. Functional medicine is a systems biology approach to health care, that addresses the root causes of chronic disease. It is a dynamic approach to assessing, preventing and treating complex chronic disease. Using a comprehensive, individualized approach, Mary Jo delivers a unique blend of nursing and medical care to treat the whole person. She has expertise in diagnosing autoimmune conditions, thyroid, adrenal concerns, women’s health issues, particularly hormonal imbalances and menopause, and digestive health and stress.
